Event Summary:
The Little Environmental Action Foundation (LEAF) is based in Kilifi, and our mission is restoring some of the world’s most threatened ecosystems. LEAF works with local communities and plants 100% native tree species, including species threatened with extinction applying science and technology. This approach supports tree diversity, the return of native fauna, and the long-term sequestration of carbon. On the 3 of June, LEAF will organize a mangrove planting expedition mobilizing some volunteers to help in planting seedlings which grown up in our nurseries.
Practical Details:
The meeting point is at the 'Distant Relatives Ecolodge' at seahorse road. Participants should preferably wear dark-colored clothes and shorts due to the muddy environment. Ther will be water, but participants should carry their own reusable water bottles.
COVID-19 Protocols:
LEAF does not have a COVID-A9 protocol. Participants may wear a facemask at their will.
