SṈIDȻEȽ Resiliency Project - Invasive Species Removal Day

Location:
The PEPAKEṈ HÁUTW̱ workshed in Tod Inlet (Gowlland Tod Provincial Park)
Brentwood Bay, British Columbia, Canada

Date & Time:
June 11, 2024 | 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (Local Timezone)

Event Summary:

We will be working to remove Creeping buttercup and other invasive species from one of our restoration sites. There are many native plants growing in this area, so we also do plant identification.

Practical Details:

Street parking is available on Wallace Drive. We will be meeting at the PH workshed. There is about a ten minute walk down the trail to arrive at the restoration site. This walk is not strenuous, but there are some areas that are rocky. Participants can bring their own tools and gloves, if they would like! However, we also provide tools and gloves. Good work shoes or boots are recommended and also work clothing that one doesn't mind getting dirty in. There is nowhere to fill water bottles at this site, so it is very important to bring your own water! There are two outhouses, and a shed for participants bags to be kept.
