Join us! We will be removing invasive species in a pocket prairie at Buffalo Bayou Park.

Practical Details:

Everyone is required to wear closed-toe shoes. We recommend comfortable clothing that will protect you from any possible snags or briars if working in overgrown areas, including long pants. We also suggest either wearing or bringing a long-sleeved shirt with you. We will have a few disposable gloves available. You are welcome to bring your own gardening or work gloves, you are welcome to do so. Please bring your gardening gloves and a re-usable water bottle. All participants will need to complete a waiver - https://app.etapestry.com/onlineforms/BuffaloBayouPartnership/volunteerwaiver.html Volunteers under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian provide consent. Children under the age of 9 are not eligible to volunteer.

COVID-19 Protocols:

Due to COVID-19, volunteers are required to bring a mask with them. As we will be working outdoors and distanced, we will be exceeding CDC requirements they likely will not be needed. You may want to wear one if you have pollen allergies, though. We will honor any organization requirements and encourage anyone who feels more comfortable wearing a mask to do so.
