One Man, One Tree, Njising-Tabeneken Community Forest

Event Summary:

The event seeks to sensitize the populations boarding the Njising-Tabenken Forest on sustainable forest practices and choice of tree planting, and the need to protect the Njising-Tabenken forest for biodiversity, water and ecosystem benefits. The one month long event will ensure the planting of some 100.000 ecofriendly species with at least some 500 forest-dependent peoples

Practical Details:

Participants shall all assemble around Tabenken and Binka near the sub-chief's Palace closest to the forest. Though rain coats shall be encourages, the event shall see the supply of some green T-shirts to participants who shall wear to give the event its color and pomp it deserves. Planting tool notably pit axes, buckets and open sacks shall be through by participants. They are also encourages to put on boots and appear on the planting grounds before 8am Prompt each planting day

COVID-19 Protocols:

Planters shall all put on face masks during sensitization. Some hand washi ng tanks shall be displaced in the halls during sensitization and handwashing and sanitization shall be encouraged
