Gorge Waterway Invasive Species Pull

Location:
Gorge Waterway Nature House
Esquimalt, British Columbia, Canada

Date & Time:
June 8, 2023 | 9:00 am - 11:00 am (Local Timezone)

Event Summary:

Join us at Gorge-Esquimalt Park for a morning of invasive species removal near Gorge Creek. Several restoration projects are underway near the creek to maintain the water quality of the Gorge Waterway and Portage Inlet. These disturbed areas are often quickly colonized by weedy or invasive species that can out compete native plants. We will be using manual removal methods to reduce the spread of invasive species across our restoration sites, and participants can ask questions about local ecology to our Restoration Technicians leading the event.
