Event Summary:
I, Vijaykumar Katti (62), from India, please to announce an initiative to bring restoration through active local participation. The present environmental conditions are due to all global citizens through overuse or misuse of the environment. Active participation is also the solution. The challenge is how to motivate everyone to come forward to contribute their best. To address this challenge I have decided to launch the “Decoding Our Own Potential” campaign to contribute our best to the society of which we are part. Among the activities that we are conducting are an online and offline workshop to demonstrate the potential within us. I also invite everyone to identify a 10 sq ft space in a public area around them where they can spend one hour per week cleaning, weeding, and planting native plants. This contribution will allow you and your community to reap the benefits such as hygienic conditions, healthy surroundings, and a sense of belonging.
