Coyote Valley Pipeline Restoration with Valley Water's Green Team

Location:
San Jose, California, United States

Date & Time:
June 6, 2023 | 9:00 am - 12:00 pm (Local Timezone)

Event Summary:

Participants will take part in hands-on restoration work removing an invasive plant species at Valley Water's Cross Valley Pipeline project site. The Cross Valley Pipeline runs through mature native oak woodland and meadows that provide high quality habitat for wildlife. Large valley oaks, rare bush mallows, and dozens of wildflower species line the pipeline. Unfortunately, a new weed has taken root here as well--purple starthistle--a spiny, noxious weed that spreads quickly and outcompetes native plants. This event is limited to Valley Water staff only.
