Tracking Barriers in the River Anoia To Improve River Connectivity

Event Summary:

We will walk along the Anoia River near Jorba and we will track barriers to river connectivity (weirs, culverts...). As we walk we will discuss briefly on river hidromorphology and biodiversity. We will see some of structures that alter the river hidromorphology, preventing fish migration but also the free flow of water, sediments and nutrients. We will use a the Barrier Tracker app, a citizen science tool to contribute to the AMBER project, tracking all the barriers that we will find.

No registration needed. Meeting in front of El Cafè de Jorba. Be prepared for a sunny day, bring a cap, solar cream and water.
