Event Summary:

Volunteers will help with the control of invasive shrub species such as autumn olive and buckthorn, and help to remove trash from the preserve.

Practical Details:

Volunteers will meet at the preserve parking lot, located east of Midland on the south side of N. Union Rd. across from the Perry Creek Townhomes. Volunteers should dress for working outdoors in the brush and long grass; long pants and close-toed shoes are recommended. A Little Forks staff member will be present to greet and register volunteers. Volunteers can bring work gloves, safety glasses, loppers and/or a handsaw, and water bottle. Additional tools, gloves, safety glasses, bug spray and trash bags will be provided.
