Event Summary:
Join The Institute for Regional Conservation (IRC) and the City of Boca Raton for a restoration volunteer day at the beautiful South Beach Park in Boca Raton! Volunteers will help us remove non-native plants from the dunes and pickup trash along the beach.
IRC is hosting this Restoring the Gold Coast event as part of the Society for Ecological Restoration's Make A Difference (MAD) Week. An annual event with a GLOBAL IMPACT. MAD Week is an annual week-long event hosted by the Society for Ecological Restoration, a global non-profit organization that works to advance the science, practice, and policy of ecological restoration to sustain biodiversity, improve resilience in a changing climate, and re-establish an ecologically healthy relationship between nature and culture.

Practical Details:
Please wear long pants, toe-closed shoes, and a hat. Bring sunscreen and plenty of water. We will provide tools, gloves and free t-shirts for all volunteers!
**Parking Instructions** -- All registered participants will receive a free parking pass for the event. We will have volunteers park at the north end of the park and begin working there.
