Event Summary:

Nursery Production of Mangrove Seedlings, educational game workshops, and cartoon video sessions for Environmental Education focused on Mangrove Conservation and Restoration. Participants will include elementary school teachers and students (from public and private institutions), as well as undergraduate and graduate students from the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA). All seedlings produced will be planted in the mangrove degraded area of our Project in another further action

Practical Details:

Participants will meet at the Department of Oceanography and Limnology of the Federal University of Maranhao (UFMA) and will be guided to the Mangrove Nursery of the Center of Mangrove Recovering. After hands-on activities the participants will return to the Laboratory of Mangroves (LAMA) at the Department of Oceanography and Limnology, where they will watch cartoons videos and will play interactive educational games both focusing mangroves conservation, impacts and restoration. At last, all participants will share a moment of enjoying snacks and a free-choice evaluating the event
