MAKE THIS COMMUNITY TREE NURSERY FULL OF INDIGENOUS TREES AND FRUIT TREES FOR COMMUNITY ACCESS

Event Summary:

This project aims at raising funds and material support to produce a total of 3.8 million fruit, indigenous trees and few exotic trees to be as a source of supply of trees to the community living around Usambara mountains. Production of many tree species at the nursery with a number of 3.8 million trees to be planted to different parts of Lushoto District. This nursery will act as a hub of supply of trees for the restoration projects of burnt project areas by planting 3.2 million indigenous trees.

Practical Details:

In order to participate to the event, one is required to come with a pair of gun boots (rain boots) and gloves for easy carrying of sand tree saplings and polythene tubes while putting sand into the polythene tubes.We also need a watering can that someone can bring it with him/her.

COVID-19 Protocols:

We have hand sanitizers that one must use before entering the nursery area. We also have enough water for washing hands for safety. We ensure spacing between all people who work at our nursery.
