Event Summary:
South of Mexico City is the lava spill of the Xitle volcano. The University City protects 234 hectares of this spill in an urban reserve. In addition, hundreds of small "pedregales" are immersed between the school buildings. Year after year, the Faculty of Sciences summons volunteers who want to participate in the ecological rehabilitation sessions of the "Pedregales" This event aims to eliminate exotic plant species and reduce organic matter, which is also a fuel, and prevent fires.

Practical Details:
The participants will meet at the Faculty of Sciences of the UNAM. Wear comfortable clothing, field boots, gloves, a hat, and bring your water bottle.
COVID-19 Protocols:
Although the event will be open, it is recommended to wear a face mask, antibacterial gel, maintain a safe distance and not attend the event with symptoms.
