Event Summary:
Help remove non-native, invasive plants that are choking our native plants and causing habitat harm. Plants of interest include Japanese Knotweed, Japanese Honeysuckle, and English Ivy. We will physically be removing these plants from our nature preserve. Learn proper removal and disposal techniques and about beneficial native substitutes for the home garden.
Practical Details:
Meet at front entrance of museum, dress in layers and for the weather. We recommend hat, bottled water, sunblock and long socks to tuck pants into. We will provide gloves and bags and some tools. Feel free to bring own thick gloves and any tools.
