Habitats: St. Vrain River in Lyons

Location:
St. Vrain River
Lyons, Colorado, United States

Date & Time:
June 11, 2022 | 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (Local Timezone)

Event Summary:

At this Wildlands Restoration Volunteers event, you can help replant the banks of the St. Vrain Creek in Lyons to finally complete flood restoration. The floods of 2013 completely altered the course of the St. Vrain through Lyons. The damage and landscape changes that resulted have taken many years to repair and adapt to but the St. Vrain Greenway and river banks are finally nearly completed. WRV volunteers will work with the Town of Lyons to replant native shrubs and trees along a section of the St. Vrain near the town's popular Black Bear Hole swimming hole.
