The event shall be based on tree planting with the community as we make a difference on World environment day. We shall be conducting basic learning on ecological restoration in conserving biodiversity and genetic resources for the benefits of both the Gem riparian communities around to harmonize regional management of trees in order to achieve to the maximum extent possible the reversal of environmental degradation. We hope to involve the local administration i.e. Chiefs, students, women, civil society organizations, local government, and private sectors so that the project shall be sustainable in future days to come.
The participants shall be converging in Kojuok Primary School which shall be the main venue. We encourage wearing a top green shirt if possible as we also hope to print 200 t-shirts to promote the event for Make a Difference Week. There is no special equipment required, apart from having a face-mask and observing the Covid-19 protocols.
In Kenya, things have come back to normal as many have received Covid-19 vaccine and the rate of infection is less than 0.01% countrywide. There will be a hand washing tank by the entry point and each person shall be required to wash hands and sanitize before getting inside the venue. Other extra face-mask shall be for the students and others who shall not be having theirs.
