English Ivy, Daphne and Holly Removal from Mystic Vale With ISCBC

Event Summary:

Come help us to continue with ongoing restoration efforts for habitat enhancement around The Sump House, located by Upper Hobbs Creek, over the Haro Road right of way, Oak Bay District. Mystic Vale needs a break from invasive species! We will be removing English ivy, Himalayan Blackberry, Daphne, and other invasive plant species. This event is supported by the Invasive Species Council of BC.

Practical Details:

We will be meeting at 11:00 am at Cedar Hill Cross Road in front of Henderson Recreation Center tennis courts. We will be working around the Sump House located on the Haro Road right of way (a building cover of beautiful graffiti). If you need directions please contact me at jenniferrodriguez@uvic.ca

- Bring your own gardening gloves, tools, safety glasses if you have them (we will have extra supplies for those who do not).
-Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty - long sleeves and long pants are recommended to protect from thorny plants.
-Wear sturdy, comfortable, closed toe shoes.

COVID-19 Protocols:

Please follow health and safety protocols during the event. Masks are not required while outdoors and 2 metres apart. Please stay at home if you are experiencing flu like symtoms. Thanks for helping keep everyone safe.
