Event Summary:
Mkata village is within an elephant migratory area and route for elephants to move from Mikumi national park to Saadani national park, however, due to human activities, this area is highly degraded by human-based garbages like plastic bottles, piece of clothes, plastic bags e.t.c these rubbishes have a negative impact to elephants as they contribute to the reduction of quality water, food and cover.
By removing this garbage, the elephant will have easy access to water, food, and cover while they are on travel.
