Central Texas SER Invasive Removal for Make a Difference Week!

Location:
Snowden Tract, Travis County Balcones Canyonlands Preserve
Austin, Texas, United States

Date & Time:
May 31, 2025 | 9:00 am - 12:00 pm (Local Timezone)

Event Summary:

Invasive species removal

Practical Details:

The terrain is easy-moderately difficult, with a couple of semi-steep hills and some uneven ground. The trail is about 1.35 mi. Along the trail, we'll stop to remove invasive periwinkle (Vinca minor). Please wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes, long pants, and bring water, sun protection, and any needed allergy medications. The entrance to Snowden can be tricky to find. We recommend you search for "Snowden Tract, Travis County BCP" in Google maps, and it will take you to the correct gate. The physical address will take you to the wrong gate up the road. Also, look for the white "BCP Event" sign. If you have not joined us on the Travis County BCP for an event in the past, please fill out and submit a digital liability waiver. Please register here: https://signup.com/go/hiMAuZM
