Assessment of Invasive Species and Environmental Degradation in Kaning’ina Forest and Lunyangwa

Event Summary:

Kaning'ina forest reserve is the main catchment area of Water for Mzuzu city and there sign of degradation. Lunyangwa wetland is the only fresh water wetland flowing in the city and it may be lost if not conserved. There is need to assess the level of degradation and invasive species found to find good solution to the problem

Practical Details:

Member will make transects and plots within the the forest. From the catchment of Lunyangwa going down a transect will be made along the river to assess it level of damage
