Alma Knotweed Eradication Volunteer Day

Location:
Meet at the Alma Village Council Chambers parking lot. We will walk to the site we're working on.
Alma, New Brunswick, Canada

Date & Time:
June 4, 2022 | 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (Local Timezone)

Event Summary:

We will meet at 10am at the Alma Village Council parking lot. From there, we will walk over to the knotweed site. We will be spending the majority of the event cutting knotweed, but will also take time to discuss the knotweed control project in Alma, and answer any questions volunteers may have. Tools will be available for use, but you're also welcome to bring your own. We recommend hand tools over power tools like weed whackers, as it's much easier to control the cut knotweed by hand. Please bring clothes appropriate for the weather. Please email guardianecology@gmail.com if you have any questions, or to register. Coffee, water, and a light lunch will be available for volunteers.
